Subject: Serving Our Community During COVID-19 Pandemic
To Our Loyal Customers,
During a pandemic Baltic State Bank’s goals are limiting the risk to the health and welfare of our employees and customers while providing continuous banking services. We have been closely monitoring the developments regarding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) since early January and have been implementing guidance and recommendations from the Center for Disease Control, the Ohio Department of Health, the FDIC and others.
With the recent developments last week, including the declaration of state and federal health emergencies, we have decided to limit customer access to the lobbies of our banking centers. Beginning Monday, March 16th we will be operating primarily through the drive-through lanes at our banking centers in Baltic and Sugarcreek. Since our New Bedford center does not have drive-through capabilities, we will continue to service those customers via Night Depository and ATM.
We cannot stress enough that we will continue to provide all services to our customers during this pandemic period, including deposits, lending and new account opening. We will be running our banking centers with limited staff to minimize person-to-person contact and spread. However, remaining staff will be working remotely and will continue to be available to assist you during normal business hours.
Additionally, we encourage you to use the various electronic banking services we offer including Online Banking, Mobile Banking, Mobile Deposit and Bill Pay. These services allow you to transfer money, make deposits, pay loans and pay other bills from your computer 24x7. If you need assistance using or signing up, we will be available to assist you.
We will keep you advised of any further developments. Again, our goal is to limit both employee and customer exposure to this pandemic virus, while continuing to provide full service banking services to our customers. We appreciate your business and hope that by working together we can all remain safe and healthy during this trying time.
